Welcome to The Larner College of Medicine Running Team 2017
Run with Us For a Healthier Tomorrow!
Members of The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont Running Team aspire to improve not only their individual health, but also the health of the community. Individuals from both The University of Vermont Medical Center and The Larner College of Medicine have joined forces to raise money for an incredible, local program called Steps to Wellness, an oncology and hematology rehabilitation center at The University of Vermont Cancer Center. Steps to Wellness is a free oncology rehabilitation and exercise program that serves the unique needs of cancer survivors. The program is designed to help participants achieve renewed levels of strength and wellbeing, and to provide practical tools to create life-long health benefits.
Members of the running team are participating in the People's Bank Vermont City Marathon this May by running in three to five person relay teams, a half marathon, or completing the full marathon. The focus of our team is to continue to strengthen relationships between The Larner College of Medicine, The UVM Medical Center, and the greater Burlington community while supporting Steps to Wellness. We hope you can be part of this wonderful opportunity by running with us or sponsoring a member of The Larner College of Medicine Running Team and helping us reach our fundraising goal of $30,000.
