Today I want to tell you a story about Sirena (far right of picture). Sirena has been through so much in her short life and until her diagnosis of epilepsy in 2005, time was spent in various doctor's offices fearful for what may happen next.
Her symptoms became severe and the seizures more frequent with no answers as to what was causing them. Your help is needed to ensure that other families like Sirena's receive answers to their questions, concerns, and the support they so desperately seek.
DJ Romeo will be providing music to dance and entertain; Clowns, Mascots, Stilt Walkers, you name it and it will probably be on site during the walk. Midtown Crossing offers 3 hour free parking in both parking garages near the park. It is only $1 for every hour after that. There is also metered parking available along Farnam Street and within Turner Park, accessible from 31st Avenue. Handicap parking is also available.
You can show support for those living with epilepsy by passing on information about the walk, attach the link to your face book page or send it out via email to friends and family. Tweet about it, shout about it, yell about it but for sure talk about it!
