Charity Beanpot Challenge
|Welcome to the Charity Beanpot Challenge fundraising and registration site. Our goal is to maximize fun for volunteers, players, donors, sponsors and guests and spread the community spirit.|
Participation in the event helps to raise critical funds to support both the Travis Roy Foundation and the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation. This year the Charity Beanpot Challenge will also be used to support Denna Laing. A minimum of $50,000 of the money raised will go to a coming home fund for Denna. Any money raised above and beyond the average Charity Beanpot Challenge total from the last two years ($200,000), will also go to Denna.
This year’s Charity Challenge will be played on Monday, February 8th, at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. Following the Charity Challenge games, each player receives a ticket to the private Garden View Suite to enjoy food, beverage, and watch the Beanpot Championship and consolation games.
There will be two separate games. The first game is for those players who rarely lace up their skates or may be a little older, and the second game for players that think they can still play. The puck will drop at 2:00 PM with the second game starting at 3:15 PM. Players are asked to solicit pledges from family, friends, and coworkers. We'd like to see each player raise a minimum of $2000 to help us reach our goal of $225,000. The event is open to a limited number of players - please contact us at email@example.com if you would like to participate this year.
