9th Annual Walk for Babies Sunday, September 20, 2015
The 8th annual Walk for Babies was the biggest yet.
124 Team Captains organized 1692 Walkers to work together to raise $104,877!
This brings the 8 year total raised for the NICU at Akron Children’s Hospital to almost $600,000.
As always, 100% of the money that the teams raise is donated to the NICU at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Our apologies if you had trouble finding parking. We will find a solution to that problem next year.
We are always humbled to hear the great things that are happening in the NICU, and Alexis Host and Nick Pryor shared the story of their twin girls.
Neonatologist Dr. Jen Grow shared some honest, true comments about caring for our babies. It really shows how passionate she is about the work she does.
Akron Children’s Hospital President and CEO Bill Considine had a wonderful speech as he has every year. It is nice to have so much support from all levels of the hospital.
The raffle was well organized and full of great items, thanks to the generous support of local companies and private donors.
Last year we ran out of food early. This year, we took home 75 Pizza Hut pizzas. Thanks to the generosity of so many local companies, we can typically feed our whole crowd (1700 this year) for under $1000. There is a lot of support for Walk for Babies and Akron Children’s Hospital in North East Ohio.

Farthest Distance Travelled: San Diego (Zoey’s Keeper’s and Xavier’s Angels)
