Winship Win the Fight 5K
Saturday, October 3, 2015 Emory University's McDonough Field Bib/Timing Chip Pick-Up 7:00 a.m. 5K Walk/Run Starts at 8:30 a.m.
Come race for a reason! Join us in the fight against cancer by raising money for research at Georgia's only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. The Winship Win the Fight 5K has become a premier fall race/walk in Atlanta. A Peachtree Road Race qualifier, the Winship 5K also is one of the few events that takes place through historic and beautiful Druid Hills. Course starts and ends at Emory University’s McDonough Field. Free Parking in the Peavine Deck on Asbury Circle.
Be a Winship Warrior!
You can create a team or join the Winship 5K as an individual. We invite all Winship Warriors to set a fundraising goal (with a suggested minimum of $250) and encourage your friends, family, and co-workers to join you in making a difference in the fight against cancer. You can target your tax-deductible donation* to any number of Winship cancer funds based on your personal interests. If you would like to review a list of these funds in advance, please visit: Winship 5K Funds to Support. You do not have to walk, run, or even be present on Saturday, October 3, 2015, to raise money for the cause. 'Sleep-in' Warriors are welcome, too! Just designate when you register that you are a 'Sleep-in' Warrior and you can still register and have a team.
*NOTE: The registration fee is NOT considered a donation. Only funds raised above the registration fee are tax-deductible. However, the registration fee will be included in the overall event and your personal fundraising goals.
