Wear a holiday themed costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Raise funds to fight arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability. Run or walk a 5 kilometer route with your team members and celebrate the season by giving.
Congratulations to Team RAST, our TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM! RAST short for Rheumatology Associates of South Texas was lead by this year's Medical Honoree Gautam Moorjani, MD.
Dr. Moorjani is a native Texan and grew up in Houston. He went to college at the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology. From there, he attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, training two years in Lubbock, followed by two years in El Paso.
Following his interests in Internal Medicine and the Southwest, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Dr. Moorjani practiced as a Hospitalist for one year before returning to the Rheumatology program at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Moorjani is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Research interests included pain perception in arthrocentesis and syringe procedures. His hobbies include traveling, basketball, football and spending time with his family.
