Hope For The Warriors® is pleased to announce the San Diego Run For The Warriors® Presented By SIEMENS

Run For The Warriors® is a unique race dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen. It is a celebration of their strength and resolve and a promise to continue restoring self, family, and hope. The Run For The Warriors® race series provides wounded service members encouragement and the opportunity to pursue the sport of running, walking, or cycling to assist in their physical and emotional rehabilitation.

Run For The Warriors® unites military and civilian community members, connecting and educating each on the importance of embracing their neighbors. The goal of each event is to establish a long term understanding and respect for the needs of local military families.

This unique road race will take place at the along the Embarcadero in San Diego and will begin and end at the Embarcadero Marina Park North. This scenic 5K will take you through both Marina Park North and Marina Park South. The entire race runs along the water.

Hope For The Warriors® and the community will honor wounded service members during the opening ceremony. The race will close with the awards ceremony. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and top three males and females in each age category. Due to the time of the event, there will not be same day registration.

Hope For The Warriors® is a national, nonprofit organization that supports wounded U.S. service members, their families, and families of the fallen. A group of military wives founded the organization in 2006.
