The Friends Fighting Cancer 5K run started in 2008 as a way for friends to support a fellow runner as he went through cancer. They wanted to take action against cancer—to DO something about this terrible disease that had struck their friend and touches so many. It seemed especially fitting to create a race that raised money to benefit the Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Friends helping friends remains at the heart of what the Friends Fighting Cancer 5k is about. Come join us as we support and honor our family and friends battling cancer.
NCCC is the only Comprehensive Cancer Center as designated by the National Cancer Center in northern New England. It has 17 locations throughout New Hampshire and Vermont where people can access its evidence-based care.
