Team Hydro Takes on the
Swim for a Cure
Saturday, September 21, 2013
|Team Hydro is a group dedicated to raising awareness of and finding a cure for the life threatening condition known as hydrocephalus. Swimmers ranging in ages from 12-62 have graced our rosters, swimming in the Alcatraz Sharkfest for six years and in 2012 participating in the Potomac River Sharkfest, too.|
This year Team Hydro is tackling Boston Harbor participating in the Boston Sharkfest -- a 1,500 meter open water swim on Saturday, September 21, 2013. If you missed the San Francisco Sharkfest please join us in Boston as Team Hydro members take on Boston Harbor.
To date, Team Hydro's efforts have increased awareness and contributed over $350,000 to hydrocephalus research.
We are looking forward to HA's Team Hydro members participating in the Boston Sharkfest. Please help us further the cause by donating today!!
Team Hydro was founded in 2007 by brothers Peter and Sam Finlayson, inspired by the courage, strength and sweetness of their sister Kate, who passed away from complications related to her hydrocephalus on November 27, 2010. Though Kate lived in chronic pain associated with her hydrocephalus and underwent over 100 brain surgeries in attempts to treat her condition, she remained nothing but kind and brave. Kate will forever be an example of all that is good and a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Your time, funds, and love will help advance research toward a cure for hydrocephalus. Thank you for your support!
