Make A Difference! Welcome to the 2013 Hawaii Arthritis Walk, the signature fundraising event for the Arthritis Foundation! Help us make a difference for the 236,000 adults and 1,200 keiki in Hawaii with Arthritis! Our fundraising goal this year is $250,000, and to have 2,000 walkers join us at the beautiful Kaka'ako Waterfront Park. You can help us reach that goal, by creating your own team at work, starting a friends and family team, or joining the team of someone already registered.
Our family-themed, dog-friendly event is full of free entertainment,a keiki zone, vendor booths, food, and educational materials. By joining the Arthritis Walk, you are not only helping to raise money for much-needed research, fund local community programs and services, but you're also helping raise awareness about the #1 cause of disability in the country.
Our Mission Our mission is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. When you join us at the Arthritis Walk®, you're not moving alone -- you are becoming part of a community looking to achieve better health and change lives at the same time. Arthritis affects 1 in 5 people. That's over 236,000 adults and 1,200 children in Hawaii alone. More children under the age of 17 live with juvenile arthritis than muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy and juvenile diabetes combined!
