Thank you to the wonderful arthritis community of Greater Sacramento. Due to your hard work and dedciation, this year's Arthritis Walk was the most successful event yet. It's was a beautiful morning with over 1,200 walkers participating.
Special thanks to Chris Riva from KCRA for serving as our Emcee this year. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make the morning run smoothly. Remember, money raised from the Arthritis Walk funds physical activity programs for better living, education events, free literature and referrals, and events to support families who have children with juvenile arthritis.
We so appreciate our juvenile arthritis honoree Ashley and her team, 'Ashley's Derma Blasters.' They were out in full force to support Ashley and help raise awareness about juvenile arthritis.
Wendy Maihack was such a great representative serving as our adult honoree this year. Wendy is an inspritation of what hardwork and self-help can do to turn your life around when faced with the real effects of arthritis.
We applaud the efforts of our medical honorees, Drs. Paul Sasaura, Robert Cameto, and Hunter Greene, of Summit Orthopedic Specialists. These find doctors are committed to improving lives and lifestyles. They have restored qaulity of life to so many area residents through successful joint replacement and orthopedic procedures.
