Questions about registration

How do I register?

Go to the Events page (athletesforacure.org/events), select the way you would like to participate, and complete the form. You will be guided through the registration process. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt.

How much does it cost to register for Athletes for a Cure?

A $25 registration fee is required for all new participants. This contribution counts toward your fundraising total and helps us cover our costs so more money goes directly to prostate cancer research. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need an adult advisor to register. We will send you a welcome kit and an Athletes for a Cure shirt to get you started.

Are there fundraising minimums?

There are no fundraising requirements to participate in Athletes for a Cure, although the Prostate Cancer Foundation is supported 100% by private contributions, which means that we need financial support from people like you if we are going to achieve our mission: to develop better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer. Some of our events do have fundraising minimums if we are going to provide you with an entry for the event.

Is my information secure?

Yes. Blackbaud (our online fundraising host) has made every effort to protect your information, using industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card information, passwords and personal information travel securely over the Internet. Blackbaud has also installed an encryption engine on our database server so that your data is securely stored.
