Meet Our Wish Ambassadors
Your support of Make-A-Wish helps to grant wishes across Illinois, children like Jaqueline, Jeremy, Joe and Savannah.
Since birth, Jaqueline has battled a life-threatening heart condition. She dreamed of a traditional Quinceañera celebration, a rite of passage important to her family. For Jaqueline, this notable milestone was especially meaningful given her significant health challenges.
Once the invitations were sent, Jaqueline was ready to transform into the belle of the ball! Her hair and makeup were styled perfectly, and she wore an intricate blue ball gown. Jaqueline’s royal attire caught everyone’s attention as she stood in the spotlight grinning from ear to ear. While the DJ played her favorite songs, she showed off her moves and danced the night away with friends and family.
Since he was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, Jeremy has endured doctors’ appointments, hospital visits and grueling treatments. During those times he dreamed of sunnier days and was excited to express his wish to visit Hawaii with Make-A-Wish. After fighting leukemia, Jeremy enjoyed the chance to try new things.
In 2015, Joe was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite doctors’ appointments and hospital visits, he always had a twinkle in his eye according to his mom. Joe’s competitive spirit and passion for sports earned him the nickname,“2 Tuff”. He lived up to his nickname as he fought his illnesses and pushed through setbacks. Through it all, sports, and basketball in particular, provided an escape.
Diagnosed at birth with a life-threatening neurological disorder, Savannah has had surgeries and many doctors’ appointments and hospital visits. She loves to play outside, but the park was too dangerous for her condition., so Savannah wished for very own playset.
