Dr. Geoff Williams
Dr. Williams completed his Medical Degree at Memorial University in 2002, followed by Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residency training at Dalhousie University. He did a fellowship in Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Calgary in 2008 and then returned to Dalhousie University and became a full time academic clinician. He is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine, as well as the Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Medical Education. He is currently the Chair of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) Residents in Training Program, and the President of the Atlantic Association of Gastroenterology. His primary academic interests are in Medical Education, Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopy skill enhancement training programs. His clinical focus is in Therapeutic Endoscopy and Pancreaticobiliary diseases. He has been the recipient of multiple awards for education including CAG Young Educator Award, Dalhousie Medical School Professor of the Year, DMSS Silver Shovel Award and Canadian Association for Medical Education Award of Merit. He was recently awarded the Doctors Nova Scotia Patient Choice award recipient.
