ROUTE
 

The walker distance is 6 kilometers and the runner distance is 10 kilometers.

 

However, both walk and run participants should feel free to complete whatever distance they choose.

 

There is no requirement to complete the entire route in order to participate.

 

WALKERS (6 kilometers route)  leave the Cobequid Community Health Centre down Freer Lane to Cobequid Road; right on Cobequid Road; left on Glendale Drive to Metropolitan Avenue; pivot at Metropolitan Avenue and return along Glendale Drive back to Cobequid Road; right on Cobequid Road and left at Freer Lane to the Cobequid Centre. However, walkers should feel free to walk a shorter route. Signs marking the return distance are posted at the 1, 3, and 5 KM points. The judgement is yours. Walkers are instructed to stay on sidewalks.  

 


RUNNERS (10 kilometers route) leave the Cobequid Community Health Centre down Freer Lane to Cobequid Road.; right on Cobequid Road; left on Glendale Drive; left on Beaver Bank Road; left on Sackville Drive; left on Cobequid Road and right on Freer Lane back to the Cobequid Centre. Runners are instructed to stay on sidewalks. 

 

 

SAFETY

HRM Traffic Authority Regulations require participants to proceed on the sidewalk no more than two abreastPlease observe all traffic lights and signs.

RCMP and a number of our Marshalls will provide assistance at major street crossing points.
