Bib Pickup Information

Bib Pickup will be at the King Career Center  on the following days: 
      - Saturday, April 15th: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
      - Wednesday, April 19th: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
      - Friday, April 21st: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Participants may register for the timed and untimed 5K race or upgrade to the timed run at a
bib pickup session.

You may also pick up your bib on race day, Saturday April 22nd at the UAA Alaska Airlines
Center Parking Lot.

9:00 am: Survivor Photo
9:30 am: 5K Timed Run
10:00 am: 5K Non-Timed Run/Walk & 3K Walk

Schedule of Events:
7:30-9:00 am: Registration, bib pick-up, Heart Run merchandise sales & Vendor Expo
9:00 am: Survivor Photo under the Finish Arch
9:30 am: Timed 5K All runners should line up by 9:10am
10:00 am: Untimed 5K/3K All participants should line up following the start of the competitive race
10:30 am: Formal awards ceremony including:

·        Top 5 Male, Female & Mended Hearts Overall Runners

·        Top Fundraising & Participation Trophies for Schools and Teams

·        Individual Top 5 Fundraiser Awards

·        Prize drawings for Alaska Airlines tickets

 

Show Your Number!  
Please pin your bib number to the front of your shirt. Keep this number visible. 

ALL participants must be wearing a bib!

 

Safety Information:
Participants with young children, and strollers or baby joggers, MUST line up at the back of the
race pack in both the Timed & Untimed Races. Race Marshalls will be enforcing this rule. It is your responsibility to insure your safety and the safety of your family and those around you. Do not push. Anyone witnessed using inappropriate behavior at the start or anywhere on the course
will be disqualified and asked to leave event grounds.

 

No pets, bicycles, roller blades, roller skis, wagons, or skate boards.

 

First Aid will be available near the finish area. Medical personnel will also be on the course,
look for the safety vests.
 

 

Finish Line:
There will be one common finish line for all races. Once you have crossed the line, please keep
moving through the finish area to avoid back-ups. Please Be courteous of those still participating.  
Do not stand or walk on the start/finish road.

 

Kid's Medals & Awards:
Heart Run Medals will be handed out to all children (6th grade and below) who participate in the
Heart Run. Awards will be given to the top 5 Male, Female and Mended Hearts runners overall as
well as Top Fundraising & Top Participating Schools and Teams. Certificates & Heart Run
Ribbons will be mailed to the top 3 finishers (male & female) for each age group.


Prizes:

All participants who register for the Alaska Heart Run on or before April 21st will be entered to
win a FREE Alaska Airlines Ticket.

Fundraising incentives and prizes are available to all participants that raise $100 or more
regardless of their registration date.

 

2017 Heart Run Parking: 

NOTE NO SHUTTLE SERVICES PROVIDED THIS YEAR - Please carpool to the race.
