How long is the walk?
It is a 5k, 3.1 mile event

Can I run the route?
Yes, participants are more than welcome to run the route. We ask that you move to the front of the starting line so that you are ahead of the walkers.


Why Walk?

The money raised through the Heart Walk funds research, and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease, the leading killer in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the VIP/Superstar tent?
The VIP/Superstar tent is for participants who have raised $500+ by event day and for Survivors of Heart Attack and/or Stroke.
Survivors will receive a Red Cap from the American Heart Association to commemorate their victory over heart disease & stroke.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed.

Will food be provided?
There will be food in the festival area for all participants.  

Will water be available?

Yes, there are water stations along the walk route and within the festival area.

Where are the bathrooms?
Restroom information coming soon!

Where is First Aid?
First Aid assistance can be found at the Registration tent.

Is the event handicap accessible?

Yes, the route is handicap accessible.

Are strollers allowed on the path?

Strollers are allowed, but please be advised that the pathway can get very crowded and it may be hard to smoothly navigate a stroller.

What if it rains on the day of the event?

The Heart Walk will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions we will notify participants via the website about the status of the event.
