BCSN Breast Cancer Support Groups
35+ Support Groups Statewide: The Largest Network of Breast Cancer Support Groups in Georgia
If you are feeling alone and overwhelmed, The Breast Cancer Survivors' Network (BCSN) is just the right place for you! It is a place where you can share your fears, joys, and hopes with other women who are going through similar challenges.
At our support groups, you will find the personal support and understanding that you are seeking. You will have an opportunity to share your experiences, gain hope and courage, get answers to your questions, help other women like yourself and, best of all, make new and lasting friendships.
Survivor Support Groups are all led by trained facilitators, who are breast cancer survivors or medically trained professionals. Each group is open to women of all ages who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The BCSN also offers Breast Cancer Support Groups specifically for Young Survivors of Breast Cancer and for women who primarily speak or prefer Spanish, allowing us to meet the unique and diverse needs of the Survivors we serve.
Why do I need a Support Group?
Dr. Siegel of Stanford University said it best: "Women who received social and emotional support had less anxiety, depression and pain than women who received no such support and lived, on average, more than twice as long."
