Opportunities

Position: Educational

Duties:
Provide educational display for health fair.

 

Position: General Volunteer
Location: Burlington and Peabody

Time:
7 am – noon

Duties:
Assignments will be distributed day of and may include: set-up, registration, water stop and amusement support.


Position: Set-Up Crew
Location: Burlington
Time: 6 – 7 am
Duties:
Help set up tables, signs and decorations. Distribute balloons to the appropriate places along the run/walk routes, hang signs, etc.


Position: Greeter/Floater

6:30 am – noon

Duties:
Greet participants, hand out registration forms, answer questions, direct guests


Position: Run Registration
Location: Burlington
Time: 6 – 9 am
Duties:
Welcome runners and walkers, hand out appropriate t-shirt, bib #, answer questions and say 'thank you' for being part of the Lahey Health Family! Volunteers should expect an energetic, fast-paced environment and plan to be on their feet most of the shift.

 

Position: Walk Registration
Location: Burlington
Time:
6 am – noon

Duties:
Welcome walkers, hand out appropriate t-shirt, answer questions and say thank you. Volunteers should expect an energetic, fast-paced environment and plan to be on their feet most of the shift.


Position: Amusement
Location: Burlington
Time: 6:30 am – noon
Duties:
Maintain crowd control around amusement rides, organize lines and answer questions. Volunteers should plan to be on their feet most of the shift.

 

Position: Cheering Section #1 (Run Route)
Location: Burlington
Time: 7 – 9 am
Duties:
Cheer for runners as they pass by using supplied signs and noisemakers. Volunteers should be energetic and plan to be outside/uncovered during this shift.

 

Position: Cheering Section #2 (Walk Route)
Location: Burlington
Time: 8:30 am – noon
Duties:
Cheer for walkers as they pass by using supplied signs and noisemakers. Volunteers should be energetic and plan to be outside/uncovered during this shift.

 

Position: Course Spotters (Run Route)
Location: Burlington
Time: 7 – 9 am
Duties:
With assistance of Lahey Health security and law enforcement, direct flow of traffic on run route, direct and guide runners by pointing out speed bumps, turns, etc. Monitor course for emergencies and cheer on runners. Volunteers should plan to be outside/uncovered during this shift.

 

Position: Course Spotters (Walk Route)
Location: Burlington
Time: 8:30 am – noon
Duties:
With assistance of Lahey Health security and law enforcement, direct flow of traffic on walk route, direct and guide walkers by pointing out speed bumps, turns, etc. Monitor course for emergencies and cheer on walkers. Volunteers should plan to be outside/uncovered during this shift.

 

Position: Water Stop (Run Route)
Location: Burlington
Time: 7 – 9:30 am
Duties:
Set up table and hand out water to runners as they run by and clean up station after run. Volunteers should plan to be outside/uncovered during this shift.

 

Position: Cash Services
Location: Burlington
Time: 6:30  – 10 am
Duties:
Collect and organize all day-of donations. Receive registration forms and payment from walkers/runners.

 

Position: Clean-Up Crew
Location:
Burlington

Date/Time:
11 am – noon
Duties:
Help breakdown the event by collecting signs, banners, trash, etc.
