Thank you to everyone who ran and supported We Run the City on November 24 at Exposition Park near USC Campus. Because of your support, the event was a success and we raised more than $90,000 for people with intellectual disabilities. All proceeds from this rivalry run will help provide free year-round training for more than 14,000 Special Olympics Southern California athletes.
About the Run
We Run the City is a 5K rivalry run that supports the athletes of Special Olympics Southern California. Alumni, faculty, fans, staff, and students of USC and UCLA compete for bragging rights and the We Run the City trophy.
This event kicks off rivalry week — one week prior to the UCLA vs. USC football game. This annual fundraiser will alternate campuses each year leading up to the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles. At World Games, both schools will host more than 7,000 Special Olympics athletes from 170 countries during the world's largest sports and humanitarian event.
Information about the 2014 We Run the City, including how to register and become a sponsor, will be released at a later date. To be contacted when information becomes available, please complete our We Run the City General Interest Form.
