What is NCR Sprint for Cancer?
NCR Sprint for Cancer is a community-oriented, family friendly 5K, 10K and Fun Run race event to raise funds for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and educate the community on childhood cancer.
When is it?
NCR Sprint for Cancer is Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Perimeter Place Shopping Center, across from Perimeter Mall. The 5K and 10K races will start at 8:00 a.m. The Fun Run will start following the 5K and 10K race. The post-race celebration will start following the race awards ceremony.
Who benefits from NCR Sprint for Cancer?
NCR Sprint for Cancer is participating in the Childhood Cancer Family Support Team program that will direct the raised funds to help children with cancer as well as their families. This program is part of the Aflac Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Learn more on where the money is going and who you are helping!
Is this a family-friendly race?
Yes! After all, this race event is dedicated to helping children affected by cancer. Race participants are welcome to bring strollers and dogs onto the race course, but will be placed in the back of the start line. Bring your families, strollers, pets and friends. Following the race, there will be kid-friendly events, food and more.
How can I help?
Together we can work as a team to make an impact on children affected by cancer and their families. We have three different ways that you can help with the NCR Sprint for Cancer event: Run. Help. Give.

Can I walk in the race?
Yes! We welcome runners, joggers and walkers for the race.
Do I have to pay to run with my kid in the Fun Run?
No, you will need to register and pay for your child(ren) for the Fun Run, but you can run with them without registering.
Where can I see the race course?
Click here to learn more about the race and download the 5K and 10K course maps. The 10K racers will run the 5K loop twice.
When is the latest that I can register?
You can register up until 11 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 online. We will have race day registration as well from 6:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Will I receive a t-shirt for running?
You are guaranteed a technical t-shirt in your selected size if you register by March 24, 2013. If you register after that date, you are not guaranteed a sized shirt and will be given a shirt first come first serve during race check-in.
Will there be race day activities I can help with?
Yes! We will have plenty of volunteer jobs that need to be filled for race day. With a projected number of 1,500+ racers, we need you! Learn more on how to sign-up as a volunteer.
What are the age restrictions on volunteering for NCR Sprint for Cancer?
You must be 16 years or older to volunteer without adult supervision. Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult as part of organizations, school groups or families.
I want to recognize someone who has been impacted by cancer – can I do that?
Absolutely. We have a couple of ways you can honor someone. When registering to run, you can elect to honor someone and have their name on the race day shirt for $15.00. Note – there are only 50 spots and those fill up fast. - Closed
I want to make a donation. Where do I do this?
