Bright Side of the Road Foundation
The primary mission of the Bright Side of the Road Foundation is to raise funding for research initiatives aimed at uncovering both a cause and cure for ALS.
We do this by empowering champions who want to make an impact in the struggle against ALS with special events. From golf events to guest bartending nights, our fundraising events celebrate the spirit of those facing the disease nationwide.
Bright Side of the Road Foundation has funded the Barry Winovich Endowed Chair for ALS Research at The Lerner Research Institute of The Cleveland Clinic. This was a $1,500,000 donation to empower ALS research and related activities at the Cleveland Clinic.
Bright Side of the Road Foundation is also working with the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter to support important ALS research funding...thus freeing chapter dollars for patient and family care.
It’s our belief that by supporting the research contribution of our partner ALSA chapters, we can continue our mission to fund vital research while also helping to bring more support to patients and families living with ALS each and every day.
Bright Side has also supported research initiatives with:
- The Eleanor and Lou Gehrig MDA/ALS Center
- Project A.L.S.
Bright Side of the Road sets aside up to 2% of yearly proceeds to support ALS related projects that are not research oriented.
The Bright Side of the Road Foundation has been recognized by the IRS as a Charitable Organization and donations qualify for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Bright Side's federal tax identification number is 20-5136953.
