Step 1: Build your individual team/campaign
In order to get us closer to reaching your goal, you'll start out by building your own team!
You can either:
Each team will have their own individual webpage to keep track of all the members and donations. You can invite your friends to check out your team website to encourage them to donate, and even join your team. Team members who are registered in the FAF can use their email center to send out emails to friends to support them with donations.
Join as an individual participant: Create an individual page and help collect donations from friends and family.
Start a team: Become a Team Captain for your own fundraising goal. Help collect donations from friends and family by inviting them to join your team.
Join an existing team: Help collect donations from friends and family.
Step 2: Setup Your Personal Page
When you register online you will automatically be directed to your personal headquarters. One of the first things you are encouraged to do is edit your personal webpage. Your personal webpage is the page your donors will see; so give it your own touch by adding a picture and information about you and your reasons for participating in the event. We do provide you with default content (text, videos, images) to make it easier.
Step 3: Start Your Fundraising Campaign
Now that you have your personal page set up, you can start your email campaign to invite friends and family for donations and to build your team. The email message will automatically include a direct link back to your personal page to make it as easy as possible for them to make a donation or join your team. Each registered user has access to a suite of easy-to-use email tools. Every person who donates will receive and automatic thank you email for his/her generous donation.
Your email tools include:
Address Book Import:
Import your Outlook, Yahoo! or other address book to get things going quickly. Note that your friend's and family's privacy are protected by restrictions on the use of those email addresses you have uploaded. Once you have imported addresses into your address book, you can use the address book to select your friend's email addresses. If you don't want to use the address book, you can send out quick emails to your friends using a simple address entry tool.
Email Campaign Center:
Use your email campaign center to create an email messages or use a template. Choose from a pre-created email template from the organization or create your own message.
Finally, send your email. Stay in contact with your donors by sending thank you notes and messages to let them know how you or your team is doing.
Step 4: Spread the Word!
Spread the word and send email to friends and family. Let them know that there is a new campaign to support the Israel soldiers. You can spread the word without even registering by selecting spread the word on the left-side navigation menu.
