Catawba River Greenway

Hike for Hope will Start and Finish at Catawba Meadows Park, which is accessed at Hwy 64/18 Bypass on Sanford Drive in Morganton, NC.

It's the perfect place for a walk! The Catawba River Greenway boasts a beautiful multi-use trail created by the historic city of Morganton to preserve the integrity of the river and to offer public access to this important natural resource. This beautiful spot has been featured many trails listings and is a well-known stop for families, bikers, canoeists, kayakers, runners and walkers.

ALFA has served Morganton and surrounding Burke County for 22 years—on average, between 13% and 25% of ALFA's clients live in Burke County. In fact, the Burke County United Way has consistently supported ALFA financially, paving the way for ALFA's prevention and care programs in the area, and has been key in the organization's foundation.

As a town, Morganton, situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains and accessible by car from all directions, has always been a popular destination. Morganton has been featured in both WNC magazine and in Our State, so if you're planning on traveling any distance at all to participate in Hike for Hope, plan on taking advantage of some of the other great gifts the area has to offer.
