About Our Organization
The Rotary Club of Hinsdale has a long history of involvement with local projects, children and youth needs, and the programs of Rotary
International. We actively support local educational systems, award graduating high school seniors scholarships to college, and support organizations that address
fundamental human needs and concerns. We encourage community development and cultural arts programs that improve, inspire, and enrich all our lives.
We actively support the Rotary Foundation, an endowment fund that awards undergraduate, graduate, teacher and journalist scholarships for travel and study
abroad. Special grants support major immunization campaigns, health care, nutritional and humanity projects on four continents. Through Rotary’s PolioPlus
program nearly two billion children throughout the world have been immunized.
Since 1995 the Rotary Run Charity Classic has provided more than $1.5 million dollars to help fight polio and support local non-profit organizations in
Hinsdale Rotary has provided financial and leadership assistance for five sun-ovens in three underdeveloped countries and a water supply system in Mexico.
We have also provided assistance for disaster relief, medical care and other international humanitarian projects.
Locally, the Rotary Foundation provides scholarships to high school students.
The club supports a wide range of community programs and organizations, including The Community House, District 181 Foundation, HCS Family Services, Hinsdale Hospital Foundation, Hinsdale Humane Society and the Ray Graham Association. The Rotary Club of Hinsdale also serves as July 4th parade marshal and other members volunteer their services on the banks of Salt Creek with our Adopt-A-Stream project.
We meet every Friday at 12:15pm at The Community House, located at 415 West Eighth Street Hinsdale. For more information about The Rotary Club of Hinsdale or becoming a
