Join me in my efforts to support HOPE worldwide!

Now it's time to begin to work towards Hoops for Hope Portland, 2011. We completed our goal for 2010. In fact, we blew it out. Over $27,000 was collected for the Sihanouk Hospital in Cambodia. 24 of us worked for six weeks raising money from friends and strangers for the hospital which serves Cambodians totally free of charge. Our goal was $12,000 and thanks to the generous donations of hundreds of people, we took the court in south east Portland, Oregon having already blown away what we were hoping to raise.

Now, I'm beginning to work on next year's campaign. I hope you'll help me help doctors and staff continue to serve some of the world's poorest people; providing Cambodians with some of the finest medical treatment, free of charge.


Nine years ago I was privileged to visit the Sihanouk Hospital and witness the early days when men and women endured major surgery with no stronger pain killer than extra strength Tylenol. I spoke to a man who had lost a leg to a land mine. Even though he had just been operated on without any major anesthetic, he was smiling and said he felt "much better". Now years later, through the heroic efforts of volunteers from all over the world the Sihanouk is able to make more people smile than ever before. But not without the generous donations of folks like you. That's why we're running for 12 hours and smiling; thanking God for our legs and asking you for your partnership.
