2013 Baker Summer Camp Grant Applications Open

"The best thing about camp is having a fun place to go to and feel accepted." - Johnny, a camper who benefitted from the Baker Summer Camp program.

Applications are now open for the third annual Baker Summer Camp program, which offers scholarship funds to camps of up to $5,000 for children and young adults with autism to attend a summer camp.

IACC Pledges More Assertive Role

The Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) has pledged to take a more assertive role in federal autism policy, starting with the issue of assuring ABA coverage is included in all state health insurance exchanges created under the Affordable Care Act. Autism Speaks Challenges New York ABA Restrictions

To qualify for insurance reimbursement under New York's 2011 autism insurance reform law, ABA practitioners would need to obtain a state license that does not currently exist. Autism Speaks pledges to contest the new regulation with "all available means." Learn more.
