A Note from the Director

 Freezing temperatures, snow flurries, and wind gusts assailed us several days ago. Soon the weather will be more welcoming for matches to enjoy our bounty of natural beauty. Hike or stroll on Lookout Mountain from the Cravens House, explore the River Gallery Sculpture Garden in the Bluff View Art District, or watch cardinals and sparrows hopping in the shrubs along the Riverwalk...read more>>>  

Mentoring Tip

How do you change that behavior?

Now, this is a trick question- as your Little's Big Brother or Sister and FRIEND, it is not your role or responsibility to change any behaviors in your Little. It IS your role to be a positive influence, a good friend, and someone on whom they can depend. As an adult you have grown and matured. Spring Fling- March 10

 Join us from 3:30- 6:30p.m. on March 10 for a fun afternoon of games, fishing, kite-flying, and a cookout. We will meet at the TN River Park Pavilion- the last one before the dam and, just past the CB Robinson bridge. Please call the office by March 6th to RSVP. For more details, read more>>>

Chattanooga Nature Center Canoe Trip - April 21

All ages are welcome on this scenic canoe ride down Lookout Creek. Space is limited, cost is $8 per match. Please RSVP  to Tina@bbbschatt.org or call the office at (423) 698-8016.


Mentor Dinner & Training Night- April

Come join us for an evening of Chick-Fil-A, a chance to network and learn from your fellow Bigs, and a short training segment that will help you as you contnue to grow in your relationship with your Little. This event will be on a Tuesday night in April at the BBBS office. More information to come!

Bowl For Kids' Sake May 19, 2012

This year we’ve added a new session!!

 11a.m.-1 p.m., 2-4 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is our largest fundraiser of the year. Big Brothers Big Sisters depends on donations to conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety; and provide ongoing suport for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships.

This year, we would like to shine the spotlight on our Big/Little matches. How can you help?

 · Start a bowling team- www.chattanoogabfks.kintera.org

· Volunteer to work at one of our events with your Little

· Participate in our Bowling Pin Decorating Contest
