 Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Recap

The month of September was the most successful to-date in terms of awareness and education raised on prostate cancer!

Thanks to everyone who made prostate cancer something to talk about.

Here are some of the major highlights:

  • PCF and Blue September (www.blueseptember.com) lit major California landmarks blue for one week including San Francisco City Hall, Oakland City Hall, Los Angeles City Hall, Capitol Records, 5900 Wilshire, the Fairmont Hotel and the Pylon Light Towers at LAX Airport  
  • With the support of Los Angeles Councilmember Tom LaBonge, PCF hosted a blue-tie reception at Los Angeles City Hall and received a prostate cancer proclamation in front of council members
  • The Villagio Inn and Spa in Napa, CA hosted a blue-tie reception and fundraising event in support of prostate cancer
  • The Oakland Raiders supported prostate cancer at their home opening game which helped educate thousands of attendees on the disease.
