First-years frequent CAPS
This academic year, 435 first-years have visited Career Planning and Advising Services—an increase of 68 percent over the previous year. Many of these students have come to CAPS several times, for career fairs, practice interviews, appointments with advisers, and more. In response to the surge in interest, walk-in hours have been extended this quarter and advisers are offering more scheduled appointment times.
Spring break housing
All residence halls, except the South Campus Residence Hall, close for spring break at 12 noon on Saturday, March 19. Dorm residents will be unable to enter during the break for any reason. Residence halls reopen at 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 27.
Dorm residents who want to remain in Hyde Park can stay in South Campus for free, but must find a South Campus resident willing to lend a room. For more information, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Student Housing.
Students who are returning to the House System after studying abroad will receive e-mail confirmation of their Spring Quarter assignment the week of March 2.
