We make those miles count here - those thousand miles of training I'm running in my preparation for NYC Marathon.
It costs 25 cents for one meal for a starving child. I think we can raise 40,000 meals easily. Yes, for you math whizzes out there, that's $10,000 dollars. But if we get there, let's not stop. Let's keep feeding people - one mile at a time, 25 cents at a time.
I don't want this marathon to be my marathon. I want it to also be your marathon and a marathon for the hungry in this world.
I'm asking a per mile donation. Whatever you can do.
1 cent/mile = $10
5 cents/mile = $50
10 cents/mile = $100
$1/mile = $1000

Friends of WFP and its coalition partners are working together to develop the Roadmap to End Global Hunger, which outlines key steps to ensure the United States leads the way in alleviating world hunger. The Roadmap identifies specific activities needed to address global hunger in the short, intermediate and long term, as well as funding requirements. It will guide Congress and the Obama administration in establishing a comprehensive strategy to address global hunger and improve coordination and efficiency across the various agencies, offices and programs that are part of the U.S. hunger alleviation effort.
