83 years without a license, but can still drive to a hole-in-one
83-year-old Harry Thyne provided the highlight of the Steve Ronan Budweiser Jimmy Fund Golf Classic on Friday, Aug. 3, when he notched his first-ever hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole at the Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell, Mass. Thyne, an avid golfer who has played in the tournament since its inception 22 years ago, received a prize package for his feat courtesy of Jimmy Fund Golf's presenting sponsors American Airlines, Dunkin' Donuts, Callaway Golf, The International, and Community Newspaper Company. In addition, Thyne also won a 2008 Volkswagen Beetle, compliments of Quirk Volkswagen in Braintree, Mass. However, the 83-year-old does not have a driver's license--he never applied for one!
