Dunkin’ Donuts New England franchisees hit a $1 million hole-in-one for the second year in a row. Raising $1 million through a single event is an incredible accomplishment. Repeating that success for a second year in a row is extraordinary. Read more.
Meet Bob Parisi. He is the tournament director of the 3rd Annual Tee’d Off at Cancer Golf Tournament, an event run in honor of Maggie, his 7-year-old daughter who successfully battled leukemia. This year, Tee’d Off is being played on Friday, Sept. 22 at Juniper Hills Golf Club in Northborough, Mass., with a goal of surpassing $100,000 in cumulative fundraising for Dana-Farber. Read more.
Congratulations to Jim Romano, Jimmy Fund Golf’s first hole-in-one contest winner! Jim used his 6-iron to full advantage on the 200-yard Par 3 at the Donna A. Pace Memorial Golf Tournament held on July 31 at Thompson Country Club in North Reading, Mass. Jim will enjoy a wonderful prize package courtesy of Jimmy Fund Golf’s presenting sponsors American Airlines, Dunkin’ Donuts, Callaway Golf, The International, and Community Newspaper Company.

The 14th Annual David B. Perini, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Aug. 7 at the Black Rock Country Club in Hingham, Mass., and raised more than $100,000 to benefit the David B. Perini, Jr. Quality of Life Clinic and the Perini Family Survivors’ Center. Learn More.
The C&S Charity Outing was held on Aug. 8 and 9 and raised more than $80,000. Over the course of two days, more than 400 golfers, including C&S customers, vendors, and food industry leaders played at three country clubs in Massachusetts and Vermont. C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc., ranked by Forbes as the 8th largest privately held company in the nation, has been a dedicated supporter of the Jimmy Fund for more than 20 years.
The 3rd Annual Pinseekah Charity Golf Tournament was held at Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth, Mass., on Aug. 26 and raised $20,000 for the Jimmy Fund. Organized by Shelagh Joyce, a cancer survivor and her husband, Keven, the tournament has experienced tremendous growth since its inception. In 2005, the event was recognized for making a 117% increase in funds raised over the previous year.
