Thanks to the countless hours of hard work that committees have been putting in over the past several months, the Jimmy Fund Golf season has gotten off to a great start. Led by several spring tournaments, 2006 promises to be yet another fantastic year with a full calendar of events scheduled throughout the summer and fall. I encourage you to forward From the Fairways to your friends, colleagues, and family so they can learn more about Jimmy Fund Golf and how they can get involved in the fight against cancer.

As the season unfolds, I look forward to being in touch with you to share program updates like the exciting news that The International Golf Club has recently become Jimmy Fund Golf’s fifth presenting sponsor. The International, one of the most prestigious golf clubs in New England, joins presenting sponsors American Airlines, Dunkin’ Donuts, Callaway Golf, and media sponsor Community Newspapers Company, in support of Jimmy Fund Golf and the mission of Dana-Farber.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to the 25 new volunteer committees so far that have taken the initiative to start a golf tournament in 2006. With the help of our veteran tournaments, our new additions, our sponsors, and the thousands of event participants, we will set our goals high and work to make a measurable impact in the fight against cancer.
