A celebration of the faith communities that have exhibited exemplary work incorporating Creation Care into the life of their Congregations in 2009.
Come hear keynote speaker, Peggy Barlett,the Goodrich C. White Professor of Anthropology at Emory University and leader of many of their sustainability efforts. She works with Emory’s Office of Sustainability Initiatives and serves as Faculty Liaison working on new curriculum and the Sustainable Food program.
It should be very interesting to hear about the evolution of sustainability at Emory and the history of her work as she seeks to “learn what kinds of experiences change individuals and what social mechanisms support institutional change as well”.
Also enjoy an assortment of local and organic desserts and coffees.
