Meet Hailey and Zachary Fitzgerald. They're just two of the 6,400 children in Indiana living with arthritis. Even more alarming is the fact that there are only 3 board-certified pediatric rheumatologists in our state to treat them.
The Indiana Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation is committed to narrowing this gap and ensuring access to treatment for every child who suffers from this devastating disease.
Please help us fund a three-year fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Riley Hospital for Children. The fellow will do two years of research in juvenile arthritis and will allow doctors at Riley Hospital to open more clinics in remote parts of Indiana.
“This is an investment in our children,” says Kevin Mandrell, chairman of the Arthritis Foundation board of directors. “Kids are not just little adults. They deserve the best care available. The more doctors we train, the earlier these kids get diagnosed and the less likely they are to spend the rest of their lives in a wheelchair."
Please say you'll help us help the kids.
