On Friday, November 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., professionals are invited to learn about the latest care practices and research related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Continuing Education Credit is available for RNs, NHAs and Social Workers. Early registration is $60 for CEU-Professional attendees, $40 for non-CEU attendees and $20 for students with ID. Conference keynote speaker, Bill Bridgwater will provide an insider's look into Alzheimer's disease. Prior to his diagnosis of Early Onset Alzheimer’s in 2004, at the age of 48, Bill Bridgwater worked for four multi-billion dollar corporations as a senior executive, serving as vice president, director, president, and president and chief operating officer. Mr. Bridgwater currently serves on the National Alzheimer's Association Board. Our second keynote speaker, Frank Broyles, established the Barbara Broyles Legacy, after his wife, Barbara, passed away from Alzheimer's disease in 2004. He has been a vocal supporter of Alzheimer's research and improved caregiving for older adults. Coach Broyles recently developed a book, Coach Frank Broyles' Playbook For Alzheimer's Caregivers, which provides real-life strategies for compassionate and dignified care for people with Alzheimer's.
