Induction Weekend #2

Please be prepared to enter all youth and adults that will be attending during the Induction weekend. You will be able to print the last screen to verify that all participants are registered.

Reminder: Health Forms and 2 deep trained leadership are required at all Scouting events and activties.

Late and Walk-In registrants will NOT be admitted.

Cost to attend: $45 (Ordeal Candidate), $35 (Brotherhood Candidate), $25 (Arrowman/Non-Arrowman)

DEADLINE to register is April 25, 2014.

Only Arrowmen are allowed to attend OA Ceremonies.

You can pay your dues online at http://OADues2014.kintera.org Ordeal candidate dues are included in their Ordeal fee, all other Arrowmen need to pay their dues before attending an Order of the Arrow event.

What to Expect:

Upon arrival, units will need to check-in. Camping location, schedule and other important information will be emailed in advance of your arrival. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO USE A VALID AND WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS WHEN PRE-REGISTERING TO RECEIVE THIS INFORMATION!

The Candidate Gatherings will be held in the Campfire Arena at staggered times based on the schedule provided in advance of your arrival. All Ordeal and Brotherhood candidates, Runners, Nimats and Elangomats, should be present and prepared to begin the weekend at this time. Shortly after each Candidate Gathering leaves, a Leaderís Meeting will be held at the Handicraft Porch. We would ask that one adult and one youth representative from each unit to attend the Leaderís Meeting. At the Leaderís Meeting, we will discuss emergency procedures, K.P. responsibilities and other information for the weekend with these unit representatives.

Brotherhood Candidates should study the Brotherhood Membership Questions and Answers found in the National OA Handbook and write their letter of rededication prior to their arrival at camp. Brotherhood candidates are expected to wear their Field Uniforms. Those Brotherhood members will be expected to serve the lodge on Saturday. The Brotherhood hike and Ceremony will take place Saturday afternoon. Brotherhood candidates must have also paid their 2014 Tamegonit Lodge Dues prior to arriving at the Induction event.

Ordeal Candidates are expected to wear their Field Uniform and to bring all gear properly packed in a backpack to the opening ceremony so that they can participate in their Pre-Ordeal Ceremony Friday night. Ordeal Candidates complete their Ordeal and become members of the lodge during Saturday evening ceremonies. All Arrowmen are invited to a fellowship crackerbarrel after Ordeal ceremonies. New Ordeal members can gather membership-related information on Sunday morning at Arrowmen 101.

Persons with special needs (medical and/or dietary) must complete a Special Needs Request Form and submit it with the registration form. Special needs form can be found on the Council website at http://www.hoac-bsa.org/oa-activities
