Who: Anyone who plays a role in planning or helping run part of the OA Induction Weekends for Tamegonit Lodge should come out for the weekend such as:
Runners Elangomats Nimats Ceremony Team Dance Team Registration Chapter Officers Lodge Event Promotions Trading Post Operations Service Projects
What: The purpose of the weekend is for the youth Chairmen and adult advisers to make plans for successfully operating all four Induction Weekends that Tamegonit Lodge will host this year.
In addition, any youth or adults interested in helping staff any or all of the Induction Weekends will have a chance to learn about their job by receiving training on how to be a runner or an Elangomat or a Nimat! If youre interested in joining the Dance Team or the Ceremony Team, these teams will be practicing and you can start learning a part!
And there will also be some time for fellowship and having some fun too. There are a lot of things that you will learn during the weekend about how to make OA Inductions Weekends a great experience for candidates; we want you to learn those things, but we also want to make sure you enjoy your time there and get something fun out of the weekend too!
When: April 5-6, 2014. We will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and wrap-up by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. A detailed schedule will be available at a later date. For those individuals that do stay overnight on Saturday night, you will be able to sleep in the Central Camp Staff Cabins.
Where: Naish Scout Reservation. Everyone will need to check-in at the Central Camp Handicraft Shelter to begin the day on Saturday morning. Each individual group that has specific training or practices will break off from there.
Cost: There is no cost to attend. However, we do need everyone who will be attending this weekend to register online so we know how many people are coming. That will help us plan for meals (we will serve you lunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday, and a light continental-style breakfast on Sunday) and plan for beds in Central Camp.
